I know this is quite random, but how many times can a post/topic on Forums can be edited?
Cause i can’t edit my Buying Christmas items posts anymore, reloaded a tons of times and confused to find the edit button for like 10 minutes… hmmmm, weird..

The forums software was updated so it may be related. There shouldn’t be a limit…
Can you still edit other posts?
I can still edit other posts (Such as the Donation Auction) and all of the comments do show the Edit button. But only, the [Buying] 5 items for 1 million post, i don’t see the Edit button whatsoever. Did try to click on the Edited History to find it, but nope, there isn’t one.
discourse limits edit time to 30 days after post by default apparently… hmm… I’ve increased it for now at least.
i have edited the post successfully, thank you for helping out.
30 days is quite imba wow
i dont know how possible this is, but cant it be set to only be uneditable after you stop editing it sometime within 30 days
why don’t you guys stop editing shit and try e-drinking water instead
English please. Could not understand your statement.
didn’t look like a supported feature, maybe with an addon…
Ok ![]()
i mean, if this is a forum, why deny the edit feature at all? I mean, the user should be allow to edit their post/comment at anytime and anyhow they want tho (admin permissions can be differ). And if it’s an auction post and the seller edited, the auction will simply be cancelled/or delete the post and tell them to make a new one later.
could be because its in trade and such? maybe its just for that
In general it’d be to prevent users from editing very old threads to change history in a way… This isn’t really too big of an issue for us I’d say but we are using a forums software and it’s the default because I assume it’s a benefit to most of the more traditional forums.
makes sense, imagine reasearching for something only to see an old post edited to emit info :oP
Yeah, thats pretty much why it exists and is the default…
