Present Event's Trinket Masterlist

"Back when I was adventuring during the winter months,
I found these boxes called "presents".
When I opened them, they gave a variety of items with weird
little baubles and decoration versions of that same box.
Apart from those, there were these bizarre items that
do different fantastical things.
I think it's best I document what I've found so far."

I got every trinket from this event, so I'm taking initiative on making the list. Enjoy :op

This list will show:

• what the trinket looks like and its lore description
• brief knowledge and how to use it (technical information and definitions will be in a footnote, just hover your mouse on it)
• an occasional tip

It will not discuss how to get the specific gift colors in this post, just the trinkets obtained from them.

It will also not discuss other trinkets outside of what you can obtain from the presents event, unless it’s about its other form upon use. So if you can’t find a specific trinket here, it wasn’t a part of this event.

There are 55 present trinkets as of the time I’m writing this list.
There are 12 present colors overall:

• Black
• Purple
• Orange
• Light Red
• Blue
• Yellow
• Green
• White
• Light Orange
• Dark Green
• Grey
• Red

Each color has a set theme with 5 trinkets, except for Red, which picks a random trinket from the list.

When there is a star in a trinket’s description, that is the “rare item” from the color set.

This will be sorted by their present colors.

Assume every armor and tool trinket in this list has durability unless stated otherwise.

Assume you can add enchantments to armor and tool trinkets unless stated otherwise.

Item trinkets can be used accidentally in crafting, so be careful when handling.

Trinkets that affect or trap creatures cannot be used on pets that are not owned by you (with the exception of Axolotls and Ocelots).

BLACK

Surface Cure

“A cure for the surface sickness that many of the Nether denizens suffer from. Administered orally.
Side effects include, but are not limited to: death by axe, death by crossbow bolt, death by goring.”
[Item: Pale Pink Potion with no effects, orange name]

Prevents nether mobs from zombifying.

To use: Right-click on the mob when holding it in your hand to administer. Can only be used when the mob hasn’t zombified yet, so be quick. Single use.

Note: Attempting to combine this with gunpowder in a brewing stand will turn it into a thick splash potion.

Fireproof Vest

“Standard issue for those who don’t want to get burnt.”
[Item: Orange (#FFA500) Leather Chestplate, orange name]

The Fireproof Vest makes you immune to fire.

Does not make you immune to lava or magma.

Does not take durability from fire damage.

Ironically, still gets destroyed when tossed into fire.

Mystery Firework

“A must have for parties.”
[Item: Firework Rocket, orange name]

Has randomized colours^[1], patterns and flight duration.

Use like how one would use a normal firework.

Also drops randomly from mob kills outside of the event.

Adamantite Strand ★

“You could make the sharpest weapons and the strongest armours with this, if you knew how to process it.
At least you can sew it on armor to make it unbreakable.”

Turns equipables unbreakable.

This applies to all armors, elytras and turtle shells.

To use: Hold the trinket in your cursor, then shift + right-click on the item you want to apply it to. Single use.

Gateway Anchor

“This mysterious device is able to create a gateway to a specific location once placed down.”
[Item: Respawn Anchor, magenta text]

Creates an end gateway that teleports you to a set location.

To use, stand where you want to link the gateway to. Then hold the item in your hand, crouch and right-click the air to link. You can still change the link location if you still haven’t placed the anchor. As long as you haven’t linked a location, it cannot be placed on accident.

The linked location and coordinates are below the name in yellow text. This one is linked to spawn.

Linked Anchors will show the location and coordinates in yellow text below its name.

After that, you can place the Anchor wherever you want it. The placed Anchor turns into an end gateway that takes you to the linked coordinates.

Note: This can't be moved or removed by a normal player.
      When placed by accident or want to relocate, notify staff.

PURPLE

---

Reignitable Rocket

“Technological advances allowed for an improved re-ignitable rocket design. This one no longer has a chance to explode.”
[Item: Firework Rocket, light brown name]

Reignitable Rockets are intended to be used for elytra flight. The standard Reignitable Rocket has a 10% chance at being consumed.

Just right-click while mid-air to boost your elytra. Cannot be launched from the ground like a regular firework.

Reignitable Rocket Prototype

“An experimental rocket that can be reused several times before exhaustion. It has a chance to explode on critical failures.”

Functions the same as a usual Reignitable Rocket, except that it has a higher chance of being consumed at 33.33%. They also have a 16.665% chance to blow up when used.

Fun? Fact: Despite what it says in the lore text, it doesn’t have a chance to explode when shot from a crossbow.

Warning: The explosion won't affect just you, so hopefully you're flying in an open space when using this.

Perfected Reignitable Rocket ★

“The re-ignitable rocket design has been perfected so that the rocket can be reused without any chance of failure.”

Functions the same as a usual Reignitable Rocket, but can be used indefinitely.

Hydraulic Boots

“These boots are equipped with a hydraulic system that acts as a shock absorber, so you don’t take fall damage while wearing them.”
[Item: Iron Boots, brown name]

Negates fall damage when worn.

Does not take durability from fall damage.

“Dragon Egg”

“Or is it?”
[Item: Dragon Egg, light green name]

Shapeshifts through most of the available blocks and items in Minecraft.
Mostly used for decorative purposes in an item frame.

Changes when you open and close your inventory or any kind of storage unit, or when you try to use it. Does not shapeshift when put in an item frame or thrown to the ground.

Could not be placed down or be disassembled in a crafting grid.

Should not be stacked. If it turns into an unstackable item, the extras will be removed.

Warning: Could be accidentally consumed when it turns into a food item.

ORANGE

Explosive Arrow

“The tip is made out of an explosive material.”
[Item: Yellow Tipped Arrow, yellow name]

Makes an explosion where it lands. Does not destroy blocks or create fire.

Can simply be shot from a bow or crossbow. Can also be shot from dispensers.

Becomes a normal harming arrow when it lands, although of a different colour.

Arrow of Smiting

“Your foes will feel the wrath of the sky.”
[Item: Blue Tipped Arrow, blue name]

Strikes down lighting on where it lands. Ignores lightning rods.

Can simply be shot from a bow or crossbow. Can also be shot from dispensers.

Becomes a normal harming arrow when it lands, although of a different colour.

Bundle of Holding

“This bundle can hold a virtually limitless amount of a single type of item inside, with no weight added. Not like weight was ever an issue.”

Can hold large amounts^[1] of a single type of item.

Functions like a normal bundle, except it refills from the extra amount, up to a whole stack at once.
The empty space gets restocked with how much is left in “Extra amount”, marked in green text below.

It can also hold items that don’t normally stack!

Tip #1: When in any storage unit or inventory that you can view, double click the bundle to take all of the items identical to the one contained from your inventory, as well as any inventory you have open. If there are no other items in either inventories, double clicking will instead make the bundle unload the items it contains until it either fills the inventory it’s in or there are no more extra items. It will never remove the last stack of items from inside it using this method.

Does not take from or when within virtual inventories^[2].

Tip #2: Can be combined with an Item Magnet to make a Bundle of Holding with Magnet. To combine, open your inventory and hold the Item Magnet in your cursor, then shift + right-click over the Bundle of Holding.

It automatically collects the same type of item in the bundle from the ground into it when held. The trinket cannot be disassembled afterward.

Arcane Tome ★

“If you’d have put some more points in Intelligence, maybe you would have understood how this book works.
At least you know it improves item enchantments.”
[Item: Enchanted book, blue name]

Upgrades a random enchantment on any item.

Will not go above the max level of the enchantment.

(ex. Will upgrade Efficiency up to V, but never past that)

In your inventory, hold the trinket in your cursor, then shift + right-click on the equipment you want to upgrade. Single use.

Invisibility Powder

“Not enough to use on yourself, plus that it’s also probably toxic, but you could use it on item frames.”
[Item: Light Gray Dye, light gray text]

Turns item frames invisible. Can be applied to both normal and glowing variants.

To use, hold the powder on your main hand and right-click on the item frame. Single use.

To display it in an item frame, put the item on your off-hand and right-click on the frame.

LIGHT RED

Crystal Traps (Amethyst, Emerald, Diamond & Nether Star Trap)

These trap any mob depending on its strength.

It displays info such as:

• name
• age
• type or color
• if tamed or trusting
• whether it’s invincible
• has immunity to zombification (if applicable).

However, there are also some info that the crystal traps don’t show but a normal animal trap will.

The following stats are: (click to expand)

From all types of Horses, Donkeys and Mules:

• Max. Health
• Speed
• Jump Height

From Llamas:

• Strength

From Pandas:

• Hidden Gene

Like animal traps, all are single-use except for the Nether Star Trap, which can be used an infinite amount of times.

There are four types of traps:

• Emerald Trap

  
  
  “This emerald was magically altered in order to trap animals inside.
  The animals can be aggressive.”

  Emerald Traps trap any type of animal or natural creature.

  Striders, Hoglins, Spiders, Cave Spiders, Shulkers, Endermites and Silverfish are in this category.

• Amethyst Trap

  Amethyst Traps trap any type of “monster” not mentioned above and unnatural mobs.

  Animals cannot be contained in this trap.

  Snow Golems and Iron Golems are in this category.

• Diamond Trap

  Diamond Traps can trap any type of Piglin, any type of Illager and any type of Villager.

  Also traps any type of mob that could be trapped via an Emerald and Amethyst Trap.

  The only exceptions are the Wither and the Ender Dragon.

• Nether Star Trap ★

  
  
  “The Nether Star is a powerful artifact on its own. This one was transformed into a trap which is not destroyed when used.”

  The Nether Star Trap traps all mobs but the Ender Dragon.

Homendirt ★

“A mythical piece of dirt created by Homen06 in a time before time. The full extent of its powers is unknown, though it has an affinity for mending.”

Moves the Mending enchantment from one piece of equipment to another item. Yes, I mean any item, it can apply to other items that aren’t equipment…

To use, open your inventory and hold the item in your cursor, then shift + right-click on the item that you want to grab the enchantment from. It will turn the trinket into a Homendingdirt.

To apply Mending, open your inventory and hold Homendingdirt in your cursor, then shift + right-click to whichever item you want it on. Single use.

BLUE

Flippers

“A pair of flippers you can wear on your feet to help you swim faster. Also known as swimfins.”

Flippers help you swim through the water faster.

Grants Dolphin’s Grace II and Slowness when worn.

Slowness only takes effect when on land.

Advanced Flippers ★

“The fins of these flippers are retractable, allowing you to walk on land without issues.”
[Item: Yellow (#FFFF00) Leather Boots, orange name]

Advanced Flippers does the same thing as Flippers, but does not give Slowness.

Diving Helmet

“This helmet is able to stop you from drowning. Just don’t ask where the air comes from.”
[Item: Iron Helmet, brown name]

Gives infinite air when worn underwater.

Does not provide Aqua Affinity.

Bait

"It doesn’t look great, but fish love it."
[Item: Rotten Flesh, orange name]

Reduces the time to catch something.

Put it on your off-hand while fishing. Has a 1/10 chance of being consumed when in use.

Tip: Try not to take damage, or eat something until full health before use. Could be consumed by accident.

Mystery Cake

“Every bite brings a pleasant (or unpleasant) surprise.”
[Item: Cake, orange name]

A cake that gives different effects^[1] for a short duration with each slice eaten.

Place the cake down and simply right-click to eat.

Also drops randomly from mob kills outside of the event.

Fun fact: Pandas are immune to its effects when they eat this cake.

YELLOW

Cloud Seeder

“Particles within this rocket allow water from the clouds to condense on them and form water droplets.
Now with no health hazards!”
[Item: Firework Rocket with flight duration of 4 and large ball custom trail; orange name]

Summons the rainy weather.

To use: launch it from the ground onto an open sky. The rocket must not be obstructed or hit a wall after it launches.

Does not work when launched from a dispenser or a crossbow.

Mystery Shell

“An old shell of some marine creature that looks like it could crumble at any moment. You have an odd feeling of dread when you look inside it.”
[Item: Nautilus Shell, orange name]

Teleports you to a random coordinate in the world when used.

Will not teleport you directly at dangerous blocks (ex. lava) or in the middle of the sky.

To use, crouch and right-click when holding it in your hand. Crumbles upon use.

Also drops randomly from mob kills outside of the event.

Abyss Shell ★

“An old shell of some marine creature. You feel intense dread when you look at it. The longer you gaze inside, the more it feels like it gazes back at you.”
[Item: Nautilus Shell, dark blue name]

Functions the same as a Mystery Shell, but can now also teleport you below the surface. It can also be used indefinitely but with a downside.

The downside being: when used, gives Blindness for 9 seconds and Nausea for 11 seconds.

Die

“A small, pretty die with multiple faces which you can throw to see what number you get.”
[Item: Polished Blackstone Button, orange name]

Displays a number from 1-20, like an actual 20-sided die.

“Faces” show how many “sides” it has. “Last roll” refers to the number it lands on.

Throw it on the ground then pick it up to see the rolled number. You can throw several dice at once using a bundle.

There’s other variations of die obtained from another event, such as the one in this image, but they function the same so this example can do.

To reset, double click the die in your inventory.

If you have multiple of the same type in your inventory or any storage unit, double-clicking a single die will reset all of them and stack them together.

Time Machine Prototype

“A failed attempt at creating a time machine, all this does is send you to a specific location without any belongings.”
[Item: Clock, yellow name]

Teleports you to the location you set it in, with the downside of you being left with an empty inventory.

Whatever items you had in your inventory will be left on the ground at the previous location, including the armor you were wearing and the item in your off-hand. The only things that stay in your inventory are other Time Machine Prototypes.

To link a location, stand on the location where you want to link it to, then crouch and right-click. You cannot change the location once linked.

The linked location and coordinates are below the name in light green text. This one is linked to teleport you back to spawn.

To use, crouch and right-click while holding the item.

GREEN

Spinneret ★

“It may look like a spider eye, but it’s actually the organ they use to spin webs.”

Turns string into cobwebs.

To use, put the trinket in your offhand, then place down string.

Note: Be at full health before using, could be consumed by accident.

Water of Life

“Give this water to a creature to drink and it will become immortal.
Don’t ask how it works on undead but not on players, though.”
[Item: Blue Potion with no effects, orange name]

Makes any mob that it was given to invincible.

To use: Right-click on a mob you wanted to use it on. Single use.

Note: Attempting to combine this with gunpowder in a brewing stand will turn it into a splash water bottle.

Empty Experience Bottle

“Ready to be filled with experience.”
[Item: Glass Bottle, orange name]

Stores all your experience into a bottle o’ enchanting.

To use, hold the item then crouch and right-click the air. When filled, it will turn into a Filled Experience Bottle.

To take the XP, simply throw the bottle to the ground as you would with a normal bottle o’ enchanting. Single use.

Infested Wheat

“This bunch of wheat seems to be infested with the fungus that parasitizes cows.”
[Item: Wheat, orange name]

Turns cows into red Mooshrooms.

Right-click while holding the Wheat to feed it to a cow. Single use.

Sun Totem

“The Sun God requires sustenance in the form of human sacrifice, so he may keep his sister and brothers at bay and prevent infinite night.”
[Item: Totem of Undying, blue name]

Instantly turns the time to day.

To use, die with this trinket in your hand, either hand works. Also works by killing a player directly while holding the totem in your hand. This is not an invitation to kill random players with this method.

It does not work as a normal Totem of Undying for players, you will die as normal when holding it.

Does not work when held by other mobs, only functions as a normal Totem of Undying for them.

Does not work in PvP world.

WHITE

Snow Golem Kit

“Do you want to build a snowman?
Then, this kit is for you! Inside you’ll find everything you need to build your very own snowman.”

Spawns a snowman when placed down.

To use: hold the trinket in your hand and right-click where you want to put the golem.

Needs a 2-block tall space to spawn. Single use.

Snow Golem Blueprint

“A list of detailed instructions on how to build a snowman.
Now with less than 100 steps!”
[Item: Paper, blue name]

Functions similar to the Snow Golem Kit, but instead of spawning a snowman directly, it uses materials from your inventory to work.

This means you need to have at least 2 snow and a pumpkin in your inventory when using this, no shears needed.

Accepts Jack-o-Lanterns and Carved Pumpkins as substitute pumpkins.

To use: hold the trinket in your hand and right-click where you want to put the golem.

Curing Apple

“Nether zombies need something more potent than Overworld ones.”
[Item: Enchanted Golden Apple, orange name]

Cures Zombie Piglins into regular Piglins and Zoglins into Hoglins. Cured Piglins and Hoglins are immune to zombification afterwards.

To use, cure the mob first like how one would cure a Zombie Villager. First throw a potion of weakness, then feed the Curing Apple and wait^[1]. Single use.

Fun fact: Has a small chance to cure a Zombie Piglin into a Piglin Brute. If the Brute is zombified, it can be cured back into a Brute.

Copper Oxidation Solution

“A vinegar and salt solution.
You estimate there’s enough for around 64 blocks of copper.”
[Item: Blue Potion with no effects, orange name]

Used to oxidize any kind of copper block (includes stairs, slabs etc.) one stage. Has no effect on blocks that are fully oxidized or waxed.

To use, open your inventory and hold the item in your cursor, then shift + right-click on the copper blocks. One bottle can weather up to a stack.

Single use.

Fun? Fact: Turns into mundane splash potions when combined with gunpowder in a brewing stand.

Mending Powder ★

“Enough to repair one item of any kind.”
[Item: Glowstone Dust, orange name]

Repairs anything that has durability to full.

Does not add repair costs to the item it was used on.

To use, open your inventory and hold the powder in your cursor, then shift + right-click on the item you want to repair. Single use.

LIGHT ORANGE

---

Milk of Youth

“Feed the milk to a creature and it may become a baby once more.
Assuming it was once a baby.”

The Milk of Youth instantly turns the mob into a baby, if applicable.

The effect is not permanent, and the mob can age again.

Right-click to feed it to a mob.

Spoiled Milk of Youth

“This Milk of Youth has fermented, and now ages those who drink it.
Could probably make some good cheese though.”

The Spoiled Milk of Youth instantly ages the mob into an adult, if applicable.

Right-click to feed it to a mob.

Cookie of Eternal Youth ★

“Baked with Milk of Youth and other special ingredients, this cookie can turn creatures into their younger selves forever. A blessing to some, a curse for others.”

Turns a mob into a baby forever when applicable. Yes, this includes some undead mobs.

Simply right-click to feed. Single use.

Fun fact: Does not kill parrots.

Warning: Be at full health before using, could be consumed by accident.

Mystery Egg

“What could hatch from it?”
[Item: Egg, orange text]

Spawns any kind of mob except the Wither and the Ender Dragon.

All mobs besides the exceptions have an equal chance to spawn.

Spawns the mob as a baby when the mob is ageable.

Simply throw to spawn a random mob.

Also drops randomly from mob kills outside of the event.

Treats

“Animals go crazy after these.
They’ll love you instantly if you give them treats.”
[Item: Cocoa Beans, orange name]

Tames any animal as long as it’s tameable. This also works on “trusting” mobs such as Ocelots and Foxes.

Right-click on the animal you want to tame.

Does not work if the animal already has an owner, or in the case of a Fox, has two trusting players.

DARK GREEN

Healing Herb

“It smells horrible and it doesn’t taste any better, but the effects are worth it.”
[Item: Kelp, green name]

Heals up to max health whoever it was used on.
Works on yourself, other players, or other mobs, whether passive or hostile.

To use on yourself, hold it in your hand and crouch right-click the air.

For others and mobs, right-click on them while holding it in your hand. Single use.

Iron Axe ★

“What a lovely axe.”
[Item: Iron Axe, orange name]

Instantly breaks any type of log (ex. Logs, Stripped Logs, Wood, Stripped Wood), including the stems of nether mushroom trees. Unbreakable.

The axe will speak and introduce itself to you when used for the first time, which has then been given a name^[1].

The axe, now with a name.

The axe cannot be renamed or enchanted. Cannot be picked up by someone else if she has an owner^[2].

Cloud Electrifier

“Contrary to its name, this rocket doesn’t actually electrify clouds.
It merely creates the conditions for a thunderstorm to happen while it’s raining.”

Starts a thunderstorm when used.

To use, launch it from the ground onto an open sky. The rocket must not be obstructed as it launches.

Does not work when launched from a dispenser or crossbow.

Note: Only use it when it’s raining. Assuming it’s used properly, it will start a thunderstorm even in sunny weather. But, obviously, you can only experience that during the rain.

Hunting Bow

“A bow made for hunting animals. All craftsmanship is of the highest quality. Killing creatures with it will let you collect more from its carcass.”

Doubles the drops of whatever you kill with this bow, but only works on vanilla drops.^[3]

The looting effect does not work when the mob dies by burning from the Flame enchantment.

Magic Berries ★

“These berries have the power to alter the appearance of those who eat them. Careful though, all magic comes with a price.”

Changes the type or color of a mob.

Works on: (click to expand)

• Axolotls
• Cats
• Creepers
• Foxes
• Goats
• Horses
• Llamas and Trader Llamas
• Mooshrooms
• Pandas
• Parrots
• Rabbits
• Sheep
• Shulkers
• Tropical Fish
• Villagers (only the type, not the profession)
• Zombie Villagers (only the type, not the profession).

Sad fact: Foxes don’t transform when they pick it up from the ground and eat it, so best to feed it properly.

Warning: Be at full health before using, could be consumed by accident.

Budding Solution

“A thick solution which causes blocks of amethyst to bud.”

Turns an amethyst block into a budding amethyst block.

To use: open your inventory and hold the bottle in your cursor, then shift + right click on the amethyst block. Single use.

Can only be applied on one block at a time. Even when attempting to use it on a whole stack, it will only convert one block.

Fun? Fact: Turns into thick splash potions when combined with gunpowder in a brewing stand.

Night Vision Goggles

“A pair of goggles attached to a leather cap that allow you to see in the dark.”

Grants Night Vision when worn.

Item Magnet

“This small magnet has been altered to attract items.” ★

Attracts all items on the ground in a short radius to the player.

To use, crouch and right-click in your main hand to bring items on the ground to you.

Keeping the magnet in any hand will automatically add drops from mobs or blocks directly into your inventory.

Tip: Can be combined with an Bundle of Holding to make a Bundle of Holding with Magnet. To combine, open your inventory and hold the Item Magnet in your cursor, then shift + right-click over the Bundle of Holding.

It automatically collects the same type of item in the bundle from the ground into it when held. The trinket cannot be disassembled afterward.

Shulker Box Containment Unit

“This chest contains a pocket dimension in which you can store a shulker box. It can then be placed in another shulker box.”

Stores a shulker box in itself so you could place it in another shulker box.

Does not store shulker boxes that already have another used Containment Unit inside.
Does not accept shulker boxes that were never opened.

Cannot be placed on accident when empty.

To use: open your inventory, hold the trinket in your cursor and shift + right-click on the shulker you want to store. When stored, it will turn into a Filled Shulker Box Containment Unit.

The filled box. Displays the shulker box inside and its name (if applicable) in yellow text.

To unload the Containment Unit, place it on the ground, or crouch and right-click the air.

Single use.

Rudimentary Rock Crusher
